A powered PowerCell in a claimed land

Claiming your first land

The world is split into 16 × 16 block plots. Stand in the one you want and type , or plant the Claim Stake with a right click. Claiming is free. shows the lands around you, and on its own opens the menu with everything else.

The plots of one land must touch. The Refuge and its surroundings belong to everyone: you cannot claim there.

Your capacity grows as you play

Everyone starts with 1 land of 1 plot. It then grows by itself with the hours you play, at no cost:

  • Every 5 hours: 1 more plot, up to 4 per land and 8 in total.
  • Every 40 hours: 1 more land.

At 40 hours you have, for free, 2 lands and up to 8 plots. Store ranks add on top of this base, never replace it, and the base keeps growing even after you buy.

The PowerCell

Your land is only protected while its PowerCell has energy. You need one per land, placed inside it. It is crafted on a crafting table from 5 materials:

  • Top centre: glowstone.
  • Middle: a diamond, with a block of redstone on each side.
  • Bottom centre: obsidian.

shows the recipe. A freshly placed PowerCell starts with energy for 2 days: feed it in your next sessions. Nobody but you can break your PowerCell, not even your land's moderators.

Fuel

Put fuel into the PowerCell to give it energy. Each material gives an amount, and the storage holds 1,000:

  • Coal: 5
  • Copper ingot: 6
  • Redstone and lapis lazuli: 8
  • Amethyst shard: 12
  • Diamond: 15
  • Netherite ingot: 100

Iron, gold and emeralds do not work. Any item that is not fuel is lost when you put it in, so be careful. Hoppers feed the PowerCell by themselves every 2 seconds, from its four sides and from above.

How long the energy lasts

A 1-plot land uses 10 energy per hour: with full storage it lasts about 4 days. Use grows faster than size, so big lands cost more to keep. A 4-plot land uses about 49 per hour, so full storage lasts it about 20 hours.

Playing makes it cheaper: 1% less for every 10 hours played, up to 20%. Store ranks do not make it cheaper: they enlarge the storage, by 25% to 100%, so it lasts more days while you are away. The hologram above the PowerCell shows its remaining energy and the estimated time.

If it runs out of energy

With the PowerCell at zero, your land freezes: it is still yours, but anyone can build, break and open your chests. A land with no PowerCell also counts as frozen.

If it stays frozen for 12 hours without receiving fuel, the countdown starts. When you log back in it warns you with the time left and gives you one more hour to refuel. If nobody does, the whole land dissolves, with no refund, and anyone can claim it.

While you stand inside an unpowered land, the action bar tells you how long until it is lost.

People and permissions

invites someone, who has 5 minutes to accept with . gives direct access. bars entry, throws someone out and closes the land to everyone who is not part of it.

There are three roles: member, moderator and visitor. Members and moderators can by default break, build, interact, open chests, use items, kill mobs and trade with villagers; visitors can only walk around. You can change each role's permissions in .

Land settings

controls 12 rules of your land: PvP, fire spread, explosions, TNT, mobs breaking blocks, monster spawning, lightning, lava fire, ice melt, leaf decay, item pickup and flight inside the land. All start turned off.

Beyond that, protection never switches off: water and lava do not cross the border, and pistons outside cannot push blocks in.

names it, sets where takes you, and sums up the land you stand in. deletes all your lands at once: there is no undo.
