The Starter Path

You appear in the Refuge, the city at the centre of the world. There, four characters teach you the basics in about 10 to 15 minutes, without you having to type commands. The one you need at each moment has “▼ Talk to me!” above them, and a panel at the top of the screen tells you what to do.

  • Ilse, the Guide: welcomes you and explains the path.
  • Bruna, the Smith: hands you the starter kit and the Return Stone.
  • Nilo, the Cartographer: takes you to a free spot in the world to look for land.
  • Tomás, the Warden: gives you the Claim Stake and the materials for your first PowerCell.

You claim your land by planting the Stake with a right click, light the PowerCell with coal, go back to the Refuge to decide whether you join a tribe, and at the end Ilse lets you choose a path: Warrior, Builder or Merchant. Each comes with its own kit, and none is a class: you can do everything.

What you carry

The starter kit has a stone sword, pickaxe, axe and shovel, leather armour and 16 bread. You can claim it again once a day with .

The path kits are one-off:

  • Warrior: iron sword, shield, bow, 32 arrows and 2 golden apples.
  • Builder: iron axe, 64 oak logs, 64 stone blocks, 32 glass and 16 torches.
  • Merchant: 16 emeralds, 16 iron ingots, 16 copper ingots and 16 bread.

The Return Stone brings you back to the Refuge with a right click from anywhere. It is the same as , in the shape of an item.

Talking to people

Type in chat to talk to everyone. If someone writes your name, you see it highlighted and hear a ping.

sends a private message and replies to the last one. hides what someone says. shows the server's own emojis.

Chat has a spam filter: more than 5 messages in 10 seconds, or repeating the same text, mutes you for a while. What you write in the Discord channel also shows in the game, and the other way round.
